Black Pepper Roast Lamb

Black pepper roast lamb recipe using Golden Spices.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (4-5 lb) bone-in leg of lamb
  • 2 tablespoons of Golden Spices' black pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoons of Golden Spices' garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of Golden Spices' smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of Golden Spices' ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, combine the black pepper powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and ground cumin.

  3. Season the lamb generously with salt, then rub the spice mixture onto the lamb.

  4. In a large roasting pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the lamb and sear on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  5. Transfer the roasting pan to the oven and roast the lamb for 45-60 minutes or until the internal temperature of the lamb reaches 135-140°F (57-60°C) for medium-rare.

  6. Remove the lamb from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.

  7. Serve the black pepper roast lamb hot, garnished with fresh herbs, if desired.
